The girls spent the afternoon playing hide-and-seek in the field of daffodils out by the barn. The nearby cattle glanced up from grazing as the girls squealed running toward the faded white two story house. “You can’t catch me!” Six year old Elizabeth looked back at her new friend, six year old Josephine.
These girls have a story that needs to be told. I’m doing just that in an upcoming short story. Stay tuned.
